History
CarrolltonDining.com started in 2003 with a goal to provide a meaningful restaurant website for the 200,000 plus residents in Carroll and Haralson County Georgia as well as for visitors to our area. Since then, we've seen towns like Carrollton, Temple, and Villa Rica grow quickly and many new locally-owned and franchised restaurants have opened.
This website is maintained by the time and taste-buds of
our family eight. We currently live in Carrollton and
my wife and I have
been here for more than twenty years. In that time
we've graduated from UWG, gone to church in
Bremen,
supported scouting in Temple, lived in Whitesburg, and adopted a dog from Bowdon. Our
family and friends have eaten at a number of the restaurants
in this area and we've gotten to know more than a few owners. Nevertheless, there is still more to learn
and share.
Thankfully, we need to eat every day so there is a wonderful opportunity to continue experiencing and reviewing restaurants in our area. It has been disappointing to see many enjoyable places close over the years but we always seem to have new stores opening.
Purpose
Simply put, we strive to provide a useful restaurant resource for Carroll and Haralson County residents as well as visitors to our area. However, we recognize that we are simply facilitators using the Internet as a medium. Without places to eat and help from our visitors, this site wouldn't exist.
There are so many things we hope to do with this site. An update in the fall of 2008 was one of them and along with that we introduced a full-featured job board. We believe reviews are important, especially for local restaurants. And a directory of locations, menus, and coupons is a fundamental must.
