Checkers - Carrollton and Bremen, Georgia
How does one take the hamburger concept to a new level? By rolling it out with the class, pizzazz, and mouth-watering taste that Checkers can do! And that is what led Eric Thomas and Bill Esslinger to purchase franchise rights for a nice-sized territory in the west Georgia area.
Working through their company, Talladega Group, LLC, the new deal was
announced in January 2007.
Talladega Group wasted no time finding their first location in Bremen,
Georgia and putting up the new store. "We broke ground at the
beginning of February and were open for business about two-and-a-half months
later", said Bill Esslinger of their rapid build-out. He gives Eric
credit for his focused construction management as well as the modular
construction of the restaurant.
To call Checkers a hamburger joint is like calling 2008 "just another election year". Not only does Checkers offer "the Official Burger of NASCAR®", but they have an incredible menu of chicken and fish sandwiches, hot dogs, thick shakes, and awesome cheese fries! Checkers®/Rally’s® is the nation’s largest chain of double drive-thru restaurants with more than 800 locations.
Talladega Group's store in Bremen opened April 20, 2007. Just a bit more than a year later they opened another store in Carrollton, GA. Located adjacent to the Home Depot, the store got off to a good start. We had a chance to visit in early October 2008 placing nine orders for our large family. How pleasant it was to find that our entire order was delivered correctly down to the last condiment. The food was hot, fresh and delivered quickly. We've been back many times since then and have been consistently pleased with the service and the food.
Choice is good and Checkers is a welcome choice for Carrollton and Bremen.
Likes: Menu choices, prices, good food, reliable orders, the "loaded" fries
Dislikes: No indoor seating (but, hey, that's their gig)
