It was good to see the Lazy Donkey reopen in Carrollton, Georgia after undergoing a lengthy remodeling. The Lazy Donkey was a mainstay in Carrollton dining for many years and we all missed it when it closed. The upgrades took far longer than originally estimated but we are excited that the improvements were well worth the wait!
I visited The Lazy Donkey a couple of times recently - once with a business colleague and once with my family. On both occasions the food was excellent, hot, and served quickly. The menu is extensive though somewhat predictable. However, the quality of the food and the elaborate remodeling make dining here a treat once again.
For those who remember the original Donkey, we've provided several before and after photos below.

The new addition (old waiting area) becomes... ...a very nicely done bar and dining area!
The West Georgian provides a nice history of The Lazy Donkey in this article.
